Mozilla Firefox is a free open source web browser derived from the Mozilla Application Suite from Mozilla Corporation. In November 2009, 25% of all web users use Firefox, a substantial increase year on year for the last few years. It is the second most popular browser worldwide after Internet Explorer from Microsoft. Firefox implements most of the latest web standards, and its features include tabbed browsing, spell checking, incremental find, bookmarking, a download manager, private browsing, and Google-linked location-aware browsing. An enormous range of functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers. Firefox runs on various versions of Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, and many other Unix-like operating systems. Its current stable release is version 3.5.5.
