Android is the latest output of the Open Handset Alliance fronted by Google, which aims to offer an open mobile platform. The Android SDK kit was released late last year, and the full array of phones is yet to arrive. The HTC G1 is due to include a 5” x 3” touch screen (bigger than the iphone), a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3-megapixel camera, and with of course 3G network connectivity.
